LIFE UPDATES FROM
MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 1984 7/12/05
Hello to all of you –
Thanks to the hard work of Christy (Young) Ford, it sounds like we are going to have a 20th year reunionJ I’m starting to get some updates on some of you and I’m getting more and more excited about coming home this summer. As for me, I’m in San Diego California, just had my 8 year anniversary with Cori, have two awesome boys Tyler (7) and Garrett (4). You now have my email so let’s start getting back in touch some before July.
p.s. my memory only lets me remember the things that wont get me into trouble with Cori so keep it clean…ha ha ha
Mike Lombardi
First of all I think my email on the original message is wrong. The correct email is cford114@columbus.rr.com. That just MIGHT explain why I'm not getting some of these!!! Duh! If any of you have done a "bio", please send it to this address as I would like to keep them! Thanks!
As far as keeping it clean--does the phrase "I plead the fifth mean anything to someone?" I think I told enough about myself at the last reunion on that questionaire!!!!! (Maybe that's my next project, writing a book!) Is anyone out there scared yet???? [This may be a "low blow" considering he doesn't have an email, but I'm thinking Rick Ellas would be the top of the scared list--haha]
As for my household, the "zoo" as I affectionately call it. I have six, yes six children and 1 husband --oh yea, I guess that means 7 children! I am married to Steve Ford (Class of 83) .
Ashleigh will be 21 in December and has saw fit to make me a grandmother at such a "young" age. Liam will be 1 in April *I love him to pieces and I am still young enough to get down on the floor and play with him without too much trouble getting back up again* and she is expecting again in September.
Jordan is 18 and will be graduating this year and leaving for the Navy in August.
Travis is 11, Tyler and Tanner are 9!
Abbee just turned 4 on the 29th. She is our little miracle! She was born 17 weeks early at 1.6 lbs and 12 in. long. She spent 4 months in OSU Hospital but is doing great now!
I spend most of my summer days at the ball park with the 3 middle boys. The rest of my time I spend pretty much at home. I watch tons-o-kids every day. I love it though because I can stay at home with mine.
Any spare time I have I spend with friends (usually at the alley) or doing email updates and taking care of friends that need a little extra TLC--ROB! **Thank God you are here to be able to read this!**, or making a hundred phone calls trying to track classmates down that should just know that when they move, they should have to tell Christy! Thanks guys! (just kidding) I've actually had alot of fun! Seems as though I'm always into something--but hey, would you expect any different?
Renee, I'm with you with the stretch marks, they're just mostly everywhere but my butt! Cripes!!!!!!! The places those things can show up!
I am really looking forward to July and just wish we could have a 100% turnout. We're definitely at 80% right now so that's fantastic as far as I'm concerned. I'm also hoping that now that I think that I have everyone tracked down, we all try to stay in touch way more often. I don't know about you, but I'd be game for a yearly reunion. But then again, you that know me, I tend to "go overboard". Never in a bad way though----------well, unless I happen to be at the alley! Guess THAT'S A LOST CAUSE IN JULY!
In case anyone else out there wants a project to work on, here you go. I have talked with about 90% of the class. Here are either no's that I've heard personally or that I've heard through the "Baltimoron Grapevine". If you want to help convince these people to come, either by a phone call or letter, feel free! (Evidently my charming personality isn't working with everyone!) Amy Roshon Cook has a conflict with scheduling which I absolutely hate--with this one I KNOW it wasn't me!) I just hope that scheduling could be different--lets hope for the best!)
They are: Janet Esque Smith P O Box 591 St. Gabriel, LA 70776 225-315-2465. (I think good candidates for this one are Darin, Todd, Mike Lombardi, Diana, Lisa or Tina Barker--she will be at her mom's house on Heimberger Road the weekend of the reunion) J.R. Hardwick 659 Crawfis Road Sugar Grove, OH 43155 740-746-8380. (Ron Azbell--I believe you are it!) Gwen Waits Worley 1223 Flagdale Road Junction City, OH 43748 (can't confirm and driving me nuts) works at Fairfield Medical Center. (Teresa --I'm thinking you are it on this one?) I've left several messages for John Grubb (one of my personal favorites that I'd definitely like to see!) I've had NO response. His info is 5651 Swartz Mill Road Sugar Grove OH 431055 740-746-9201. (I'm not sure who wants to jump on this one, but feel free--personal favor for me on this one!!) Diane Christenson is one that there is an address on but I cannot confirm? I've sent "Rob updates" and haven't had any returned so I'm hoping that everything else has gotten to her too. The info on her is 1426 Scotch Pine Drive Brandon FL 33511 (dchrist7@tampabay.rr.com). Mark Helber 8520 S. R. 316 W, Orient, OH 614-491-6535. (Bruce Turley is a good suggestion but I don't have an email on him and he lives in freakin' Baltimore--Tina can you forward????) Last but by no means not least is Ted Bader. We all love him and would love to see him. Mike Lombardi has already started this mission. His info is 8336 Bader Road NW Baltimore, OH 43105 740-862-4224. (I'm thinking Mike's a good start, then maybe Rob, once feeling "rested", then maybe Phil or Mr. McKellar???) Anyone that wants to just make a call or drop a line, please do! It can't hurt!
Well I am going to wrap this up and hoping I don't sound too much like a Baltimoron! I am way to excited about this reunion and I think that it's going to be a fantastic time, especially now that we know Rob will be with us! I can't wait to see everyone! *I will say this, I think Mr. Lombardi is so excited he could probably fly back here without a plane!* But I think that is great though--definitely looking forward to seeing you!
Again, if you've allready done one of these, please forward it to me. I just love hearing about what everyone is up to and reminiscing about old times!
We'll see you soon and keep the emails coming!
Take Care,
Christy

Hey everyone...
Good to hear
from you,
Mike.
Thanks for
the Lombardi
family
update.
Three kids
and holding
for Amy
and I.
Jeremy is
15 and is a
sophomore.
He's got his
learners
permit and
just
finished
playing JV
basketball.
Talk about
bringing
back some
memories.
Alaina
is my 8th
grade
daughter.
She is 13
going on
21. She's a
beautiful
young woman,
so my
biggest
hobby right
now is
striking
fear in the
hearts of
her
boyfriends.
I'm pretty
good at
it.
Christopher
is my
youngest.
He is in 5th
grade. He
is my 'all
sports, all
the time'
kid. He
plays
anything
that
involves a
ball and
competition.
He's kind of
a class
clown. I
think he got
that from
the Harpers
side of the
family.
I'm still
working with
Delta but I
am out of
the sales
office and
back out
with the
airplanes.
I will have
20 years
with them
come
September.
Not real fun
being in the
airline
industry
right now.
Anybody have
any job
openings
where I can
still have 5
weeks of
vacation a
year? :-)
Looking
forward to
seeing
everyone in
JULY.

Hello everyone,
I have already received
several e-mails from many of
you. It is so nice to hear
how everyone is doing. It
seems like only yesterday
that we all graduated from
high school. Time sure does
fly-by fast. Like others, I
too want to give an update:
I have a wonderful and
beautiful wife (of 16
years.) Her name is Joy. We
met in
Bible College. We have three
children. Our oldest son,
Josiah will be 11, our
daughter, Rebekah has just
turned 7 and our youngest,
Andrew will be 6 in October.
We home school all three of
them. I am a pastor of a
church here in Indianapolis,
Indiana. We have been here
for nine years. Previously
we were missionaries in
Mexico City, Mexico.
My brother Mark and his
family live here in
Indianapolis, Indiana also.
If you would like to contact
him, his e-mail is:
hoosierlove@MSN.com.
We look forward to seeing
each of you in July.
God bless,
Don Bollinger
P.S. Christy Ford: please
let Rob know that we will
continue to pray for him. We
do thank God that he is
doing better

All right, I guess I'll
get in on the act as
well. I know Christy
has been working hard on
the reunion, and God
knows how she did it,
but she managed to catch
me at my parents house
in Baltimore the one
weekend I have been home
this year. I'm still in
the flatlands of
northwest ohio and still
have my environmental
consulting business. I
have yet to figure out
how to run the business
and not have it run me.
No kids of my own, but
I have a sufficient
number of nieces and
nephews to spoil rotten
then send home to their
parents. And for those
of you that remember
Laura Melter (Miller
now), she lives up this
way and has three little
ones that I get to spoil
as well. I'm back in
school again (even
though I barely managed
to graduate college the
first time). And YES I
know I am too old to be
in school, but one of
the university's up here
offered to pay for my
degree - so how could I
turn that down? School
has definitely put a
damper on the "fun
stuff". I did manage to
take some time off of
work last year and get
my private pilot
license, something I've
always wanted to do. So
if I make it to the
reunion, beware - if you
ask me about flying I
will not shut up (I'm
sure you all remember
how talkitive I was in
high school, ha ha).
Hope to see you all
then.

Hi All-
I guess Sherry has left me
no choice...
I still live in
Baltimore..married...no
kids. I try to keep a low
profile, lest I end up on
one of Christy's CNN
reports. Poor Rob had no
idea what went on while he
was sleeping.
I've been with Discover Card
for the last 18 years and
currently travel a couple of
weeks each month to audit
collection accounts that we
have placed with collection
agencies and law firms
around the country. It's a
nice change from the daily
office grind and I work at
home when I'm in town, which
is great. The best part is
that I no longer have people
reporting to me, so their
problems are no longer my
problems!
As Sherry said, we did
FINALLY finish school. At
least I made it through
without throwing my
statistics book to the
floor, jumping on it
repeatedly and breaking the
spine of the book (yes,
Sherry). As far as the
brown-nosing, she should be
ashamed of herself. I think
it's very obvious why she
chose to attend vocational
school for our last two
years of high school. I'm
certain it would have been
horribly embarrasing for her
to maintain that suck up
level in front of everyone
she's known all of her life.
See everyone in July!

hello everyone,
Christy has left no
stone un turned, I am
glad that she has taken
the time to find
everyone. It's been nice
hearing from alll of you
guys it sounds like
everyone is doing well.
I live in Rolla,MO
which is about halfway
between St. louis and
Sprinfield on I44, I
have a wonderful wife
named sheila, I dont
know how she puts up
with me :). We both work
at the hospital here in
rolla, she is a nurse in
the ER and I work as a
paramedic. We have 5
children between the
both of us but none
together.
We are looking
foreward to seeing
everyone in july, we are
going to make the trip
to Baltimore I think it
will be alot of fun.
Christy, thank you for
getting us all together
and keeping us updated
on Rob.

Greetings to ya after 20
years! Can you believe it,
20 years? I remember when
we were in school feeling
like it was never gonna
end. Especially, Pete's
history tests! Thanks to
Patricia Berry for pulling
me through that tough
class! Boy, time flies
after you're "free", huh?
Well, after we graduated
from high school in May, I
signed up for Certification
in Word Processing at Cols.
Technical Institute (now
called Cols. State Community
College). As I was waiting
to attend college in Sept.,
my folks had Eversole
Builders build them a barn &
boy did those construction
guys look hot! It just so
happens this shy girl
managed to snag one from the
crew, dated him for 5 years
& married in '89. My folks
didn't know a son-in-law
would come with the price of
the barn!!! Didn't move too
far from home. This country
gal settled in ole
Lancaster. Managed to work
for Cardinal Industries
(manufacturer of Knights
Inn, etc.) as an accounting
secretary for 4 years & The
Kobacker Company
(headquarters of Picway
Shoes) in the corp. audit &
security and investigations
dept. for 7 years. Boy, was
that an interesting job.
For the past 7 years, I've
been pushin' kitchen tools
with Pampered Chef. I'm
sure ya all heard about
their awesome food & quality
kitchen tools. Can you
believe it, shy gal like me
who never hardly spoke to
anyone, travelin' to
people's homes, presenting
kitchen shows, preparin'
delicious food in their home
& sellin' tools? Me
neither.
I've got 2 wonderful
daughters, Casey 11 born on
the Fourth of July. What a
fire cracker she is, and
Mikaela 8 going on 21, born
close to Labor Day & boy,
did she put the labor in
Labor Day. They are into
softball just like me and I
get to coach Casey's team
this year. So that'll keep
me busy this summer. Betcha
she doesn't ever have a
coach tellin' her she's
too tall to play
softball. That's what Ms.
LeVeck told me. I think she
had a short complex.
Had to move from our first
home in 2001 due to the
State taking our home due to
the highway going through
(33-By Pass). Luckily, we
were able to purchase 5
acres from my in-laws, built
a beautiful ranch home all
ourselves and are quite
happy with the peace & quiet
once again in the country.
Well, that's what's keepin'
me busy for the last 20
years. Looking forward to
seeing ya all again!!
Take care,
Lisa Ackley (Bauer)

For those who
remember me (which
I'm sure there
aren't going to be
many - I was a quiet
one). My name is
Linda Unger
(Aucreman). Twenty
years has blessed me
with 2 beautiful
daughters; Sarah (14
yrs.) is a freshman
at Liberty Union.
She is a member of
the flag corps, an
honor roll student,
she is also 2nd
attendant from the
2003 Baltimore
Princess Pageant.
I'm very proud of
her. Emily (8 yrs.)
is my little "wuv
luv". She is in 2nd
grade at the
elementary. She is
my "outdoor" child.
She loves to be
outside all the
time. She is
involved in soccer,
although this season
she chose not be in
soccer, but mom got
stuck coaching
anyway. She is
joining softball
this summer, as well
as, cheerleading for
the next school year
and she loves to go
swimming. My oldest
is taller than me,
which really doesn't
take much. My
youngest daughter I
believe is going to
be a giant. She
just turned 8 in
March and is alrea!
dy 4' 6 1/2" tall
and can wear a size
7-8 in an adult
woman's shoe.
Currently, I am
in the middle of a
divorce, which is
one reason why I may
not make it to the
reunion in July. If
anyone from the
Baltimore area knows
of a 3 BR house for
rent that will allow
pets (1 dog, 1 cat),
please let me know.
I'm looking. I have
to stay in the
Liberty Union
Schoold District, my
girls would kill me
if I made them
leave. They are GO
LIONS all the way.
I work at the
Lancaster Eagle
Gazette as an On
Site
Representative/Finance
Clerk (Jack of All
Trades is what I
say), because I can
cover everyone's job
pretty much and I do
get used in that
fashion quite
often. For those
who remember some of
the underclassman,
Risha Reinschield
works in the
Advertising Dept.
here at the Eagle.
I'm hoping once the
divorce is over I
can go back to
college.
After reading a
lot of these
profiles and hearing
the names of certain
teachers mentioned,
I'm suprised no one
mentioned the
teacher that
promised to show at
graduation, but
never did - Mr.
Slayman. I heard
that he passed away
a long time ago.
Someone heard his
name at an AIDS
Memorial. I hope to
make it to the
reunion, but with my
life slightly messed
up as it is, I'm not
sure if I will be
able to. For those
who remember me,
Ahnetta Spitzer,
Renee Baldwin,
Melissa Jasper -
please email me I
would love to hear
from you.

Hi to all,
I finally got some time to
get this sent out. It's
seems like just yesterday we
graduated from high
school. Well, this is what
has been going on in my life
sense graduation...I went
into the navy June 1984. I
was stationed in Mayport,
Florida onboard a
minesweeper, then I
was transferred to
Charleston, South Carolina.
I met my beautiful wife
onboard ship(sub tender) on
a rainy day in Charleston,
while on watch(duty) and we
married in 5/88. I was up
for shore duty at this time
and of course my new wife
was not, she deployed to the
Mediterian for a 6-month
deployment, not very fun for
just getting married. In
12/1989 our first
son(Joseph) was born. Then
the Navy sent us to
Keflavic, Iceland (NATO
Security Task Group.) I was
a little worried when I got
these orders, but you know
that was the cleanest and
nicest place I have ever
been. We had our second son
(Sean) 7/1992, but after 6
days! he left to be with
Jesus. In Sept 1993 I was
transferred to Norfolk,
Virginia (destroyer
tender.) In 12/1993 I once
again was sent to the Middle
East. This was my second
time, and I was feeling the
pain stronger and stronger
about leaving my family, I
wanted to be with them, we
were tired of moving and
deployments. I left the
navy in 10/1994 from active
duty, and went into the
reserves were I finished in
10/2001. After the navy I
became a general manager for
various restaurants, here in
Indianapolis. My wife was
called up in the reserves in
09/2001, were she deployed
to Chinhae, South Korea, as
NATO base security. She
came back in 9-months later,
and she got out. I received
the Lord Jesus as my savior
in 12/2001(rededicate.) I
went to Anderson University
to major in psychology.
While there I found myself
not very happy with the
college and I moved to
Circleville Bible College, I
wanted Biblically based !
studies, and I received that
there. I couldn't believe
how much was changed in
Ohio. I currently live back
in Indianapolis were my
brother is a Pastor of our
church.
I am finishing up my
college, (I finally nailed
down my major, biblical
counselor) and look forward
to our reunion in July. My
wife is in college she is
majoring in accounting, our
son is home schooled, so we
are very busy. I hope
nothing interferes with our
reunion.
Hey everyone,
After high school I joined the
Marine Corps, in which I
remained for 12 years.
Lisa & I have been married 18
years this past February. We
have 2 boys, Quinton (Q) is
going to be 16 in July and
Marcus (Mac) just turned 10 in
January.
We lived in California most of
the 12 years spent in the Marine
Corps, with occasional stints in
Okinawa, Japan & Somalia,
Africa. I got to see alot of the
world.
We moved back to Southern Ohio
for a couple of years once I got
out of the Marine Corps. Three
years ago we moved back to the
Baltimore/Carroll area to be
closer to family.
We now have a small farm going
with all the boy's projects,
which keep us real busy. Q,
is on the Junior Fair Board and
has an Angus project where he is
raising Angus beef, they have
Dairy feeders and pygmy goats.
The boys' sports keep us real
busy as well
In the fall I am the lineman
coach for the 2nd, 3rd & 4th
grade Pee Wee football league.
that is all I have- you can send
this on
( Greg VanAtta... where is your
Bio??????)
Christy
The picture I'm sending is dorky, so
don't laugh to hard k, I don't want
you to hurt yourself. I'm looking
forward to seeing everyone again.
One question keeps surfacing in my
thoughts, which is, I wonder how
much my classmates have changed. I
know one thing for sure, its not
going to be dull!
Ron Blanton
OK people. I am bound & determined
to do my part in sparking some
interest
in this class reunion. Christy is
working her lil tail off for us!
Let's
see....
I sent an email before, telling a
bit about myself (one of my favorite
subjects). I could send out emails
telling about some of the things a
few
of you did during our school
years...but we have husbands, wives
& children
who may read these....and I don't
want to cause any divorces. So that
leaves ME again! YEAH!
As I am sure many of you have done,
I did as the Lord says, I "set forth
&
multiplied". I have 2 children and
what's more..I learned to multiply
easily
& I was terrible in math! So, I
guess you could say I have gotten
myself
smarter thru the years. I have
"multiplying" down. I know my hubby
is
happy & my back aches! Since
"multiplying" started to become too
easy, I
decided to have myself "fixed"
before I began to divide.
Does anyone know how to get ahold of
Teresa Benedict Kennebeck or Randy &
Karen McGarvey? I want to make sure
they drag there butts to this party.
OK, I will sign off now. I will
keep this one short n sweet (just
like
me!!!). I refuse to be one of those
email junkies.
I thought I would send some pictures
of myself, hubby & my boys.
Everyone
says, the boys look just like their
father, but I think they favor me.
See Ya!

Hello
Class of '84.
Could it really be 20 years since we
graduated? I won't be able to make it
in July so I thought I would give a
brief update. In 2002 I got married to
a wonderful Brazilian lady I met while
running a Bible School in Northern
Brazil. Iris and I have one daughter
who we named Glynda after my mom. I am
a full time missionary to Brazil and
South American. We live in Manaus,
Amazonas, Brazil which is on the Amazon
River south of the equator.

Hey All!
It’s been
great hearing from all of you as the
e-mails for the reunion have been
filtering through. I’ve written back to
a couple of you personally to catch you
up on the last 20 years, so I’ll catch
you all up now.
I have
been married to my wonderful and
beautiful wife Anna since May of 2000.
We have a twenty-one month old daughter,
Natalie, who was born on
the fourth
of July, 2002, and we have a son on the
way sometime within the next four weeks.
My family
and I have been living in
Bettsville, Ohio since August of 2002.
Bettsville is about 30 minutes east of
Findlay, or about 2 ½ hours northwest of
Baltimore. We moved to Bettsville
because I was appointed to pastor a
United Methodist Church there. This has
been my first appointment since I
graduated from seminary and we’ve been
having a great time. The church is small
– about 60 folks – but, they’re great
people and everyone has the feeling that
we’re getting ready to grow.
Between
1984 and 2000 I spent 14 years working
for Service Merchandise -- may she rest
in peace. I spent 3 of those years as a
warehouse manager up in
Toledo.
After that, I moved back to Baltimore
and graduated from Ohio University in
1994. I spent two years substitute
teaching in the area, and then God
called me into the ministry. I spent 2
yrs at World Harvest Bible College in
Columbus, then 4 yrs at Asbury
Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY. I
FINALLY finished going to school in May,
2002. I hope I don’t have to go back for
a long, long time!
Since high
school I think I gained about 40 lbs,
but have recently lost 30 of those. I’ve
discovered that my belts actually have
more than one hole! Hope to catch up on
the rest this July. It’ll be great to
see you all. Stay safe until we meet.

Ok here is
my update!!
After
serving 4 years in the Army I have been
a police officer for Hilliard for the
last 14 years. I have been married to
my wife Keitha for 17 years and we have
3 kids. Gage is 12, Jim is 8 and Gina is
7. I live in Mechanicsburg which is 25
miles west of Hilliard. In my spare
time I ride my Harley.
Looking
forward to seeing everyone in July!

Hello
Everyone,
It has been
great to hear from at lot of you!
I have been
married this December for 10 years. We
have 2
girls they
both have light brown hair and blue
eyes. We are not looking forward to the
teenage years. I can see my
husband now interviewing their dates and
following them around.
My
husband graduated from Carroll in 1982
our old rivals
the
bulldogs. A couple of years ago we
bought almost 2 acres
outside
of Carroll on Carroll Southern Rd., then
we built a home
on the
property last year.
I have
been blessed that I was able to quit
working 8+ years ago
to be
home with my girls. When I was working
I worked for
W.C.National Mailing as a Customer
Service Rep. for 8 years.
My
husband started his own business in 2000
and I do his
secretarial work out of our home. Plus
I volunteer at School/Church
alot.
For the time being are girls attend
Fairfield Christian Academy, until
business goes down hill or other
circumstances
come up
that we are not able to send them their
anymore.
I hope
to see everyone this summer!
